Martin County: Attractions
The Treasure Coast offers unusual and intriguing attractions such as Florida's oldest and only remaining lifesaving station and Blowing Rocks Preserve. Visit Martin County and take a journey through the Florida you don't know.
One of Martin County’s most delightful and edifying attractions is the self-guided walking tour of the quaint and beautifully restored historic downtown district of Stuart, the county seat. Three dozen commercial and residential buildings comprise the tour. Three are on the National Register of Historic Places and several date back to the 19th century, providing an architectural journey through time, from “Florida Cracker” vernacular to Art Deco and Mizner Revival. The Stuart Branch of the American Association of University Women publish a free brochure with a map and detailed histories of each site on the tour, which is available at retail establishments throughout downtown.
